Canon's plans for early 2013

New Canon megapixel camera coming in 2013?

Remember the rumors of the all the successor cameras to Canon's current lineup that should have been announced by now?  It seems Canon has once again been occupied by final design and production changes to their super lens - EF 200-400mm f/4L IS 1.4X, much like earlier this year when they were busy trying to finalized the introduction of the Series II super telephoto lenses.

The word is the EOS 7D MK II or perhaps the EOS-70D and of course, another new EOS Rebel may be announced in early 2013. The EOS 7D is almost three years old and desperately needs an upgrade. The slow AF speed of the EOS-M is attracting many criticism and Canon may introduce new Firmware and faster lenses to address that issue.

Finally, the talk about Canon's own megapixel camera to compete with Nikon's current lineup of big megapixel cameras. Canon is probably going to leapfrog Nikon with their own megapixel camera, much like their EF 200-400mm f/4L IS 1.4X lens has outdone Nikon's 200-400mm offering. The new camera may have a sensor of over 40 MP and will be packed with state of the art technology that may be revolutionary.
