Canon EOS-7D Firmware 2.0.5 Available Now

My favorite Canon DSLR with the APS-C sensor has a new Firmware upgrade. The EOS-7D has been my pick for the best value cropped frame camera 4 years in a row. The EOS-7D Mk II will be released some time in the first half of 2014. It will be another winner and I cannot wait to get one. Visit my website to see many photos taken with the EOS-7D around the globe. MichaelDanielHo.com

Firmware Version 2.0.5 incorporates the following fix :

  • Fixes a phenomenon in which the image files cannot be transferred using the FTP protocol via USB cable after the Canon EOS-7D camera has established a wireless connection to the Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E5A.

Cameras with Firmware Version 2.0.3 or lower should be upgraded. Once the camera is updated to the new Firmware, it cannot be restored to a previous Firmware Version.
