I have just received my Canon EOS R1 mirrorless camera. It feels practically identical to my EOS R3 except slightly bigger and heavier. All my Canon camera (DSLR and Mirrorless) settings are as similar as possible so I have no problem using any one of them right out of the camera bag.
Over the next few months, I will take the R1 out for some serious, real world testing from the standpoint of a wildlife photographer. I have used the R3 for almost 3 years now and it has not disappointed me so far. My expectation for the R1 is high, especially the AF lock on wildlife.
My most recent wildlife trips with the R3 are Hudson Bay (Polar Bears) and Patagonia (Pumas).
