Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III and EF 70-200mm f/4L IS II coming Q2, 2018?

As reported earlier, Canon should be announcing the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III and EF 70-200mm f/4L IS II lenses, possibly before end of Q2, 2018 very soon.

It is not unusual for Canon to shift around the announcement date a few days or weeks at the last minute. I am on a wildlife and travel shoot in Europe right now. You can follow my travels on Facebook and Twitter, see my equipment bag and works on MichaelDanielHo.com

Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS II Lens and EOS-7D Mark III Camera

As reported earlier, Canon should be announcing the EF 70-200mm f/4L IS II lens very soon. However, the replacement of the EOS-7D Mark II camera may come in early 2019. Here's my wish list for the EOS-7D Mark III camera.

It is not unusual for Canon to shift around the announcement date a few months here and there. I suspect they may have other priorities in mind, like getting the long overdue high end, full frame mirrorless camera to market.

Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS II, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III Coming April & September 2018

Last week, I reported the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS II is coming in Q3. Now the latest information appears to indicate the EF 70-200mm f/4 Series II lens will be announced next month and the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III may be announced just before Photokina 2018 in Germany. This is a stable glass for many photographers, from wedding to wildlife.

The second half of 2018 will be a busy year for Canon's announcements. In addition to EOS-M50 announced in February , the company is expected to release a new EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM prime lens for the EOS-M mirrorless camera. Slightly shorter than a 50mm full frame equivalent.

Keep checking back for the latest information.
