Canon has released Digital Photo Professional Express for Apple's iPad. The software can import and process .CR3 files on any iPad running the iOS operating system. You can download DPP Express at the App Store. It is currently not available for devices running the Andriod system.

Apple’s announced new iMacs and iMac Pro with enhanced processors and memory power. In addition, a new iMac Pro with a 5K screen and a price of $4,999 debuted. The entry level 4K iMac and MacBook Pro are now both priced at $1,299.
For many iPhone users, the preview of iOS 11 is most anticipated, with its many innovative features for mobile photography. Artificial Intelligence is the central theme of the many improvements in the Photos and Camera apps. The new operating system, iOS 11 adds interesting effects like long exposure blur, intelligent loops, and bounce sequences.
In addition to the added functions, the Photos app’s Memories section will also play videos in portrait and landscapes modes by recognizing your subject and focusing on them. Photos will also be categorized into more sections under Memories, thanks to the advanced AI features. As expected, the new iPhone 7S Plus will come with Image Stabilization, True Tone flash, HDR option and 'bokeh' effect on some shots.
Apple's latest sound product, the 7-inch high speaker called the HomePod, is designed to rival the Amazon Echo and Google Home speakers.
It is powered by the A8 chip that tailors the sound based on the shape and size of the room and responds to commands via Siri.
10.5-inch iPad Pro
A 10.5-inch iPad Pro is joining the 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch versions. The new operating system, iOS 11 will make the tablet work more like an Apple computer.
watchOS 4 and TV OS
Apple has announced macOS High Sierra for its computers. The new software comes with a refined, faster Safari that blocks videos from playing automatically and stops websites from tracking users. It is compatible with virtual reality for the first time and features tweaks to Mail, Photos and file storage.
It has also unveiled new software for the Watch called watchOS 4, which includes a Siri face that can offer personalized advice through the day. Amazon Prime Video will be featured on Apple TV later this year.
Version iOS 9.2 has been release by Apple. It contains fixes and minor feature change but one feature in particular will be of interest to many photographers, especially those who post to Instagram.
It is the new iPhone support for Apple’s Lightning to USB Camera Adapter. Photos can now be downloaded to the iPhone and iPad directly from the camera, without using any computer.
Lightning to USB Camera Adapter is available on the Apple Store for $29. In addition, there is a new version of the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader. It also costs $29 and can transfer at USB 3.0 speed with the iPad Pro and at USB 2.0 speed with other Apple devices.
Today, Apple announced their new 4.7 inch iPhone 6S and 5.5 inch iPhone 6S and iPad Pro tablet. The new iPhones are powered by an A9 chip and M9 motion coprocessor that deliver up to 70% faster CPU performance and up to 90% faster graphics compared to the A8 chip inside the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus also have a second-generation Touch ID fingerprint scanner that is up to two times faster compared to Touch ID on previous iPhones. They feature a new 12 MP rear-facing iSight camera with 4K video recording, plus a 5 MP front-facing FaceTime camera with true tone Retina Flash. The front display will flash for a split second instead of traditional LED flash, when photographing in low light conditions.
And for the first time, a Rose Gold color option is available. Pre-orders start in a few days but the official launch date is September 25 in selected countries. The new iPhone 6S retails for $199/$299/$399 for 16GB/64GB/128GB respectively on a two-year contract. iPhone 6S Plus retails for $299/$399/$499 for 16GB/64GB/128GB respectively on a two-year contract. AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and many other mobile phone companies around the world will provide financing and leasing programs for the new phones.
It comes with a new Keyboard and Pencil. The iPad Pro features TouchID and a 8MP iSight camera on the rear for taking photos.
The new iPad comes in Wi-Fi and LTE models. Scheduled to be released in November. A 32GB model starts at $799, while a 128GB version is priced at $949. If you want the LTE 128GB model, be prepared to pay $1,079. By the way, the Apple Pencil is $99 and keyboard sells for $169 extra.
