The Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS 1.4X lens is probably the most anticipated lens in Canon's history. Its development was announced over 18 months ago and the lens went through extensive testing in many parts of the globe. However, the world is still waiting for its official introduction.

Rumor is the recent extensive tests during the London Olympics in August have produced many valuable feedback and Canon is working through them meticulously to ensure a problem-free production model. There is still a chance we may see the official launch of this revolutionary lens before the end of the year. I will try to be one of the first people to place my order when it is available.
