The current EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens is almost ten years old. Canon has patented a new version of this versatile zoom lens for APS-C camera. It aims to improve the image quality and add STM to the new model. Just in time for the announcement of the EOS-7D Mark III camera some time in Q2 of 2018.
