The folks at LensVid put together the video below to give us a recap of what happened to the photography industry in 2017. My take is smartphones will continue to get better and take business away from the Point-N-Shoot and lower end DSLRs but the high end models will certainly hold its own.
Once Canon and Nikon announce their high end, full frame mirrorless cameras with native mounts some time this year, to take advantage of their formidable lines of EF and Nikkor lens, Sony's market share will decline and the entire mirrorless camera segment will increase and perhaps equal to the high end DSLRs in the next few years.
