Canon EOS-6D Mk II full frame camera? |
Canon is rumored to release the EOS-6D Mk II camera some time in 2016. The EOS-5D Mk IV and EOS-1D X Mk II cameras will be announced first before the 6D replacement comes out.
My readers know I am not a fan of this camera. For those who want to get into full frame photography with a new camera, the current EOS-6D may be a tempting option but my advice is to get a refurbished EOS-5D Mk III from the Canon store or some other reputable retailer.
The Series II camera will not come with any ground breaking technology. After all, the selling feature is the lowest price point into full frame DSLR photography. It is still early days to predict the specifications of the replacement camera but I expect it to have evolutionary improvement and perhaps a slight reduction in size and weight due to a newer design and the use of improved materials.
