Canon announced the EOS-7D Mk II on September 15, 2014. I have owned the camera for about eight months now and have taken it on real world photo shoots from the sub Arctic to the Southern Ocean and many places in between, often under extremely harsh environment. I have chosen the EOS-7D as the best APS-C camera 4 years in a row for wildlife photography and the Series II successor is beginning to head that way.
