Canon may be ready to launch the EF 200-400mm f/4L IS 1.4X super zoom lens very soon. My friends in Singapore informed me there is an event this weekend, sponsored by Canon Singapore that will be featuring the EF 200-400mm lens. This may be the final teaser event before the official kickoff for this lens.
It has been two years since Canon announced the development of this amazing lens and it has gone through many trials and test runs, most notably at the Summer Olympics in London in 2012. This is the lens I have been eagerly waiting for even though it means I have to travel a bit 'heavier' once it arrives. The list price may be around $10,000 - $11,000.
