The Summer Olympics is well under way in London and the Canon EF 200-400mm f/4L IS + 1.4X is popping up in quite a few events. The photographers using the lens on loan have generally great praises for the new gear. I expect Canon to officially announce the post production version of the new lens by the end of the year. The weight and price should be about the same as the Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS II, perhaps between 7 - 8 lbs and about $11,000.
