Canon EOS-7D Mk II Camera Review Round Up

Canon has finally announced the EOS-7D Mk II camera after first introducing the Mk I five year ago. I have placed my order for the body and the EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II Super Telephoto lens.

I am off on a wildlife photo shoot in South Africa. In the meantime, take a look at the plethora of sample photos and video reviews below on the new camera. My initial impression is quite positive. The features I like most are : 61 AF points, 10 fps and AF down to f/8. When I receive the equipment, I will take them to the sub Arctic this Autumn for a thorough field test and write a comprehensive review on them. You can see my works on MichaelDanielHo.com

A nice sample of EOS-7D Mk II reviews. One is getting a lot for the money. In some ways, more powerful processors and more cross type AF points than even the EOS-1D X for a fraction of the price. Is Canon being too aggressive with its pricing strategy?

These guys are having so much fun testing the new camera in secret and we only get to hear about it now. At least now the whole photography world knows about the virtue of the new EOS-7D Mk II.

Enjoy your camera when you get it.

I like these series of video reviews but none of them seem to be wildlife photographers. This EOS-7D Mk 2 camera is especially suited for this kind of photography and I'd love to read your review once you have taken this camera out for a photo shoot.

Hi Ricky. If you want to own the best APS-C on the market now or upgrade from the EOS-7D or EOS-70D, I have no reservation in recommending the 7D2. However, if you wait a year or so, the price will probably come down a bit from the MSRP of $1,799.
