Chinese website ZOL compared 22 different Canon APS-C and full-frame cameras to find out how much sensor performances have improved over the years.
The lower end APS-C sensors improved the most, especially for higher ISO settings. Higher end models like the EOS-1D bodies appear to be less obvious, although visible improvement are clearly detected. The image comparisons below are taken with ISO 1600 with various cameras. The current high ISO performance champion is the Canon EOS-1D X camera. Visit my website MichaelDanielHo.com to see photos taken with many Canon cameras over the years around the globe.
