The Canon EF 100-400mm f/4-5.6L IS II lens will be released some time this year. It will have the latest in coatings, glass deisgn and 4 stop IS compensation. The current 100-400mm lens is one of my favorite wildlife zoom lens and travels with me on every photo shoot. You can see my works on MichaelDanielHo.com
Egami, the Japanese Photography blog has discovered a new Canon patent for an EF 70-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS lens. I am not sure if the new design is just an extension of the current EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS lens. If so, it can be another great lens since the current 70-300mm is the other favorite wildlife zoom lens in my equipment bag.
