Canon EOS-1D C Firmware Coming Soon

Canon EOS-1D C with new beta firmware

Canon is expected to release a new Firmware for the EOS-1D C hybrid DSLR camera soon. The above photo is a screenshot of the camera with the new beta software with a view of the video adjustment screen. The most important feature of the new Firmware is the ability to record video in 25p in 4K resolution. The big NAB Show is coming up this weekend in Las Vegas and Canon will be showcasing their video products, including the EOS-1D C camera. The new Firmware is in its final testing stage and may be released in early May.

Still waiting for the EOS-5D Mk III new Firmware to enable auto focusing down to f/8, announced by Canon late last year to be available in April, and the EOS-1D X camera is expecting a new Firmware some time in May to address the slow AF assist issue with the Speedlites.
